The Year That Was

2018 is around the corner. With talk of a fresh start and new beginnings, resolutions of all sorts shall be formulated. As 2017 draws to a close, it translates as the year of healing. Of taking things slow and learning what love demands.

A year that will remind you to cut out the toxicity and let go of negativity. To keep an open mind and accept life the way it comes. Don’t bottle up your feelings. Learn to let go. You cannot rush the process of life. Life happens differently for everyone. As the old saying goes, “Patience is a virtue”.

Life may have its fair share of setbacks ,trials that we cannot avoid. It is all about our attitude towards  that situation. We must enjoy life as it comes and not think about the future. Live in the present moment cause we don’t know what’s in store for us the next day.

Forrest Gump has it that life is like a box of chocolates. So hold on tight and relish every chocolate as life brings on cause with each bitter, sweet experiences we learn a lot and evolve as a person.

Even the best fall. Bad things happen to good people. No matter how perfect a person’s life seems, there is always obstacles and problems upholding so take every problem as a learning experience and learn from all the mistakes you make. You cannot have everything at the same time. So it’s better if you enjoy the present moment and not worry about the future. Stepping out of your comfort zone does wonders. Little things are worth living for.

Some of our loved ones may have left us this year and that’s the hardest lesson to learn in life. The most  difficult part is to live without them and be happy cause happiness is the most important thing. If you are not happy then you cannot make anyone around you happy as well. So be happy, laugh, smile cause this life is too short to keep grudges and hold on bad memories. Seize every moment of your life and live life to the fullest.
