2. Fortune Inn Valley ViewManipal’s most esteemed and costliest hotel, Fortune Inn has been a temporary home to all the renowned guests that have visited Manipal. The rooms are decorated with finesse, with the services being quite quick. The hotel is attached with a restaurant, namely Cosmos Café which is again well known for the delicious food it serves! Located next to WGSHA, the hotel’s nearness to both KMC and MIT campuses makes it one of best choices for parents and students alike. That said, if you happen to be running on a tight budget, Fortune Inn might not be the hotel you’d want to invest in.

3. Satkar Paradise

This is an apartment hotel, which is built right behind the EDU Library, and barely a 10-minute walk to the main KMC campus. The nearest bus stop as well as the rickshaw stand are 10 minutes away on foot. These apartments, which are popular for offering a stunning scenic view, are also equipped with kitchenettes, high speed internet and other modern amenities. The only drawback would be its distance from the MIT campus, which is at least a 15 minute walk. Other than that, Satkar Paradise is the right place to spend your weekend at.

4. Hotel Green Park Suites.One of the major advantages of Green Park suites is its proximity to Tiger Circle. Certain stationary and general stores are located at its entrance, which sometimes serves as benefit to the presiding guests. The hotel is well- known for their spacious and well-ventilated rooms, and the service has been quite impressive as well. The only disadvantage of this hotel is the absence of any restaurant in the hotel, and usually food is ordered from restaurants nearby. This hotel is fairly well known due to its proximity to the MIT campus, but has always garnered mixed reactions from the people in Manipal. Too often, people have complained about untidiness in the rooms, but other than that, Ashlesh is the place to crash whenever you want to save few bucks. It offers the modern amenities in a proper amount range. So, you might want to bookmark this for short trips.

6. Country Inns & SuitesSituated minutes away from Virupaksha Temple and at the posterior end of the KMC Campus, Country Inn is the newest and the most luxurious hotel to be introduced in Manipal. With enormous suites furnished with Wi-Fi, flat TV screens, heaters—Country Inn also offers its special roof top restaurant, which appeals to the students and locals alike. It is also well known for hosting spa and massage treatments, heated infinity pools and a fitness centre. Country Inns is the perfect getaway from the busy life, which offers a plenty in shared amount as other hotels in the area. The only disadvantage this hotel holds is its isolation from other college campuses. Nevertheless, it is a comfortable and relaxing stay there.

7. Manish – Live in ComfortPopular for its stylish modern serviced apartments, Manish is situated minutes away from the MIT and KMC Campus. The rooms are typically built in the form of apartments, offering a large living room, accompanied by two/three master bedrooms with an additional kitchen and a dining space. Manish is best suited for families travelling a lot, and wanting to stay at a comfortable place, providing them with a home-like experience. Often, students who visit for exchange programs, choose Manish as their destination for a long period of stay. Manish provides free Wi-Fi, television and food facilities. The rooms are spacious, extremely well-kept and the services being quick. So, if you happen to be travelling with your extended family, Manish is your destination!

8. Paradise Isle Beach Resort.

Located right opposite the Malpe Beach, this resort gives off a bright and laid-back appearance. Surrounded by lush gardens all around and the Laccadive Sea in the front. It is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle from the town, and to soak in as much nature as possible. This resort has options of cottages, and certain upgraded rooms offer a direct sea view. The resort also constitutes a restaurant, which serves the best sea food in and around Udupi and Manipal. Attached with free Wi-Fi and parking facilities, there are certain avenues that have guides for water sports. The only disadvantage to this resort is its distance from the campuses, which requires a 45 minute drive back to Manipal.
