National Poetry Writing Month, Day 21: Subtle Glances

Subtle glances through interstices at first missed to capture,
The essence that’d come to be significant over the years.
Unattended to till the vanish that brought the world to fracture,
Symbolic, since the profile followed suit, flowed a river of tears.

The bird of souls soared high through the clouds of Destiny,
Unable to find an island of peace, encountered the paradise of solace.
Country of freedom, of comfort, never of hate and mutiny.
Together we built a sacred legacy, a colossal memorial palace.
You, my dearest confidante, elicit this comparison:
Of a beautiful slender deer in a grasslands of predator,
Weary and anxious, with only the moonlight as liaison.
Of the Bird of Paradise who is apprehensive missing her nest.
Of a lustrous celestial object determined to leave a crater.
Summoned to the estate of your wondrous grace,
Whose words and laughter is a yearning holy shrine.
From the start till this moment you did not fail to amaze,
For I hope to see on you always the enchanting heavenly shine.
The hallmark of our companionship is resolutely eternized
In the expression of God’s ultimate and sovereign will.
Together we shall write a volume in history, for
I will be with you all times, adoring the elegance of your soul.
