A Day of Spontaneity — Day Fourteen of NaPoWriMo 2023

Life in college can be prosaic,
The same routine day after day,
Showing up to classes, Retreating to hostels,
A monotonous cycle that just seems to stay.

But what if one day the skies turn grey,
And snowflakes start to waltz and play,
A sudden snowy day.

You venture outside,
And laze through the hours,
Throwing snowballs, building snowmen,
Creating memories forevermore frozen.

Schedules cancelled,
Unexpected breaks,
Lightened routines– work forsake,
A chance to explore and have some fun,
The prospect of escape has now begun.

Breaking free from the monotony,
Opens up a world of possibility,
Our dreams and fantasies come alive,
In a life of pure spontaneity.

So let’s break free from the cycle,
And embrace the unexpected with glee,
For life is too short to be tame,
Go on and live life to the fullest.
